The Villages GATOR CLUB!  GO GATORS!

At last a club for all us Gator fans.  A large room in The SeaBreeze Recreation center is reserved the 1st Thursday of each month starting NOVEMBER 4 at 6:00 P.M.   The first meeting will be used for getting acquainted and bringing everybody up to date on what has happened.  Be sure to tell all your Gator friends about this exciting event.

We need to discuss any ideas you might have for the purpose of the club, such as getting together to watch the games, gator parties for special (or any) occasions,  golf tournaments, a get together cookout, a yearly SEC get together (inviting all other SEC schools) or any other ideas you might have.  For this to work we MUST have input and participation.  Your involvement will be what makes this club successful.

I hope to meet all you Gator fans soon!  Unfortunately for me I will not be at the first meeting as we are moving in to our home in The Village of Duval the next day from……… you guest it, Georgia.  Oh how we are looking forward to being in Florida!

THE BIG NEWS is WE ARE MOVING ON NOVEMBER 5TH TO BE FULL TIME RESIDENTS!!

This is very exciting for Ginny and myself as we thought we it would be 2014 or 2015 before this would be the case.  After our 1 1/2 years of visiting we could no longer take it.  Had to be in The Villages full time.

It is very real for sure.  I came back a 2nd time for a long weekend and thought yes this place really is as close as you can get to heaven here on earth.  My only complaint was why did I not find out sooner.  I, like most of us Villagers, saw the Nancy Lopez and Arnold Palmer TV ads.  Live like a millionaire, free golf and all that.  I just figured it was some retirement place with one or two golf courses.  Boy, was I out in left field somewhere in the dark!

It was not really the time for us to buy but we kept looking on the internet every once in a while just to see what was happening here in the housing market.  I ran across a house I thought would make a great part time home for us while we were still in Atlanta too.  I figured it would be 5 years before we would get here full time if at all.  So, bought the house!

I hope you will comment on how soon you bought or what happened on your first or second visit her to our hometown.
